June 3, 2013 - I'm just gonna let this comic speak for itself. There are way more politically charged comics upcoming in this storyline as it is, and I'm kinda curious to see what, if anything, people end up saying in the comments before I say anything here.

I will, however, make mention that last week Feminist Frequency released the second video of its latest Tropes vs. Women series. Ultimately I'm very pleased with this video as it addressed two main criticisms I felt were neglected in part 1 (token resistence from damsel characters and the idea that these games aren't developed in a vacuum, in fact there's a whole culture supporting them). I think she could go a little more in depth with some of this material but I'm excited about part 3 (which she implies will include an examination of the Monkey Island series' Elaine Marley which has me super psyched). On a related note, I encourage everyone to check out this video comparing representations of men and women in media focusing specifically on the differences between The Wizard of Oz and Star Wars.
